新约--约翰福音(john)--第 16 章16:1我已将这些事告诉你们，使你们不至于跌倒。these things have i spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.16:2人要把你们赶出会堂。并且时候将到，凡杀你们的，就以为是事奉神。they shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth god service.16:3他们这样行，是因未曾认识父，也未曾认识我。and these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the father, nor me.16:4我将这些事告诉你们，是叫你们到了时候，可以想起我对你们说过了。我起先没有将这事告诉你们，因为我与你们同在。but these things have i told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that i told you of them. and these things i said not unto you at the beginning, because i was with you.16:5现今我往差我来的父那里去。你们中间并没有人问我，你往那里去。but now i go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, whither goest thou?16:6只因我将这事情告诉你们，你们就满心忧愁。but because i have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.16:7然而我将真情告诉你们。我去是与你们有益的。我若不去，保惠师就不到你们这里来。我若去，就差他来。nevertheless i tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that i go away: for if i go not away, the comforter will not come unto you; but if i depart, i will send him unto you.16:8他既来了，就要叫世人为罪，为义，为审判，自己责备自己。and when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:16:9为罪，是因他们不信我。of sin, because they believe not on me;16:10为义，是因我往父那里去，你们就不再见我。of righteousness, because i go to my father, and ye see me no more;16:11为审判，是因这世界的王受了审判。of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.16:12我还有好些事要告诉你们，但你们现在担当不了（或作不能领会）。i have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.16:13只等真理的圣灵来了，他要引导你们明白（原文作进入）一切的真理。因为他不是凭自己说的，乃是把他所听见的都说出来。并要把将来的事告诉你们。howbeit when he, the spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.16:14他要荣耀我。因为他要将受于我的，告诉你们。he shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.16:15凡父所有的，都是我的，所以我说，他要将受于我的，告诉你们。all things that the father hath are mine: therefore said i, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.16:16等不多时，你们就不得见我。再等不多时，你们还要见我。a little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because i go to the father.16:17有几个门徒就彼此说，他对我们说，等不多时，你们就不得见我。再等不多时，你们还要见我。又说，因我往父那里去。这是什么意思呢。then said some of his disciples among themselves, what is this that he saith unto us, a little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, because i go to the father?16:18门徒彼此说，他说等不多时，到底是什么意思呢。我们不明白他所说的话。they said therefore, what is this that he saith, a little while? we cannot tell what he saith.16:19耶稣看出他们要问他，就说，我说等不多时，你们就不得见我，再等不多时，你们还要见我。你们为这话彼此相问吗。now jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, do ye enquire among yourselves of that i said, a little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?16:20我实实在在的告诉你们，你们将要痛哭，哀号，世人倒要喜乐。你们将要忧愁，然而你们的忧愁，要变为喜乐。verily, verily, i say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.16:21妇人生产的时候，就忧愁，因为他的时候到了。既生了孩子，就不再记念那苦楚，因为欢喜世上生了一个人。a woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.16:22你们现在也是忧愁。但我要再见你们，你们的心就喜乐了。这喜乐，也没有人能夺去。and ye now therefore have sorrow: but i will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.16:23到那日，你们什么也就不问我了。我实实在在的告诉你们，你们若向父求什么，他必因我的名，赐给你们。and in that day ye shall ask me nothing. verily, verily, i say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the father in my name, he will give it you.16:24向来你们没有奉我的名求什么，如今你们求就必得着，叫你们的喜乐可以满足。hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.16:25这些事，我是用比喻对你们说的。时候将到，我不再用比喻对你们说，乃要将父明明的告诉你们。these things have i spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when i shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but i shall shew you plainly of the father.16:26到那日，你们要奉我的名祈求。我并不对你们说，我要为你们求父。at that day ye shall ask in my name: and i say not unto you, that i will pray the father for you:16:27父自己爱你们，因为你们已经爱我，又信我是从父出来的。for the father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that i came out from god.16:28我从父出来，到了世界。我又离开世界，往父那里去。i came forth from the father, and am come into the world: again, i leave the world, and go to the father.16:29门徒说，如今你是明说，并不用比喻了。his disciples said unto him, lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.16:30现在我们晓得你凡事都知道，也不用人问你。因此我们信你是从神出来的。now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from god.16:31耶稣说，现在你们信吗。jesus answered them, do ye now believe?16:32看哪，时候将到，且是已经到了，你们要分散，各归自己的地方去，留下我独自一人。其实我不是独自一人，因为有父与我同在。behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet i am not alone, because the father is with me.16:33我将这事告诉你们，是叫你们在我里面有平安。在世上你们有苦难。但你们可以放心，我已经胜了世界。these things i have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; i have overcome the world.
